As I suffer from Discoid Lupus, I am constantly on the look out for any edge I can get to help me combat the illness. If you’re not familiar with Discoid, it essentially makes you look like you have permanent acne scars on your face – definitely a confidence killer and a downer in general. Apart from good skincare practices in general, I’m always on the look out for supplements that can give me system the extra boost it needs, and I’m so glad I found the Natural Skin Formula by Super Smart!

When I first learned that I would be reviewing the Natural Skin Formula from Super Smart I was super excited, and I was even more thrilled when I had the product in my hands as quickly as I did! The bottle of supplements arrived in discrete and padded packaging, ensuring that (if you’re a bit of a privacy nut like me) nobody knew what I was receiving and it would arrive safely. The pills themselves are a bit larger than I’m used to but I was able to swallow them easily with a delicious glass of ice water & lemon.

The only complaint I have is against the bottle itself. While the supplement is obviously safe, I do think the cap should be somewhat childproof just in case one of the kiddos got into it somehow. Other than that everything was great! Unlike other supplements the bottle clearly lays out all of the nutritional information in detail, which is a big plus in my opinion. Lots of times some of the more “sketchy” supplements out there are vague in what they’re actually giving you and that is worrisome to me.

Also worth mentioning is that this supplement is VEGETARIAN! While I am not a strict 100% vegetarian eater, I am close and it is nice to see that this product doesn’t contain any ingredients that come from animals, which in my opinion can increase inflammation and make you feel yucky.

My Experience

As I mentioned before, I was most interested in the results these supplements could offer for my Discoid Lupus, and I have to say I am EXTREMELY impressed! After the first four days of taking 3 pills per day with a meal I could definitely start to see a small difference in my facial complexion. The inflammation from my Discoid Lupus was starting to recede and my face in general felt much less puffy. I couldn’t believe that after such a short amount of time I was beginning to see changes, even though they were small!

The biggest initial impact for me during the early stages of taking these supplements was the confidence boost it gave me. The small initial improvements made me feel like I could take on the world again, hard to believe it all came from something as simple as a skincare supplement!

During the second week of taking the Natural Skin Formula I continued to see reductions in the appearance of my Discoid Lupus, and my skin even started to look more firm and natural than it had been in the past. With two of my own kids running around all the time and life in general taking its toll, it was a welcome surprise to see some age taken off my face. Absolutely astonishing! Towards the end of the second week I could tell that, while they obviously didn’t disappear completely, my lupus lesions were once again looking less puffy and irritated. I am simply amazed at how this supplement has been able to keep my complexion issues at bay!

End Result

I’ve taken the Natural Skin Formula supplement by Super Smart 3 times a day for 45 days now and I have to say I am completely impressed. The biggest factor, although it may be superficial, is the amount of confidence I have in myself now. Dealing with a poor complexion, whether its from Lupus, Acne or anything else, can be a downer for anybody and I am so glad that I was able to try these supplements.

I have definitely seen an overall boost in my complexion as well. My skin feels softer, smoother and more hydrated (I haven’t changed anything about my normal routine while taking these supplements.) As I mentioned in the beginning of this review I am also very pleased with the transparency of the product because of how they clearly state all of the ingredients they are using compared to other supplement makers who basically push their products as “wonder drugs.”

Overall, I would rate the Natural Skin Formula by Super Smart a 4.75/5 based on the following:

Pros:

• There has been a noticeable difference in the appearance of my lupus lesions; they are much less puffy and inflamed
• My skin seems much more hydrated, smoother and softer
• My complexion looks brighter and more cheerful
• The CONFIDENCE BOOST from the above are AMAZING!!
• Shipping of the product was fast and discrete

Cons:

• While not a deal breaker I wish that the bottle had a child proof cap
• The supplement is a bit expensive, but is on par with the industry

Whether you’re looking for a supplement to give your complexion a general boost or suffer from Discoid Lupus like me I strongly suggest giving the Natural Skin Formula a try. I think this goes without saying, but it is NOT a treatment for these conditions, just a supplement that I’ve had success with. I will continue taking it after the review, and hope it helps you, too!
